“And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall on Adam, and he slept; and He took one of his ribs and closed up the flesh in its place. Then the rib which the Lord God had taken from man He made into a woman, and He brought her to the man.” Genesis 2:21-22
For every book that is written, there is always an author. You can find the name of the author on the outside and inside of the book. You can also find a brief description of the author on the back of the book. On many occasions, the author will share key points on what inspired them to write their book.
When I read Genesis 2:21-22, it blessed my soul! The Bible records the creation of Heaven and earth. Genesis 2:21-22 gives a brief description (in black and white) how God created woman. And when you read John 3:16, God lets us know the reason why He chose to create us! God, in His infinite wisdom, fashioned woman out of the rib of Adam. He “fashioned” her with His own hands. Now, please correct me if I’m wrong…but I can say with assurance that “God is the Author of Our Story!” That means that whatever you are facing right now, and, in the future, He has already equipped you to be victorious. God never does anything without a purpose in mind.
Women of God….when you get in a place of disappointment, discouragement and all the other negative emotions that attack your confidence, remember that God is the Author of Your Story. Remember what Paul told the Philippians, “Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ” (Phil. 1:6).
Be Blessed
