God is Shaking Things Up!

There is a shift taking place in the atmosphere.

Do ya’ll remember back in the day when we played outside jumping rope, shooting marbles in the dirt, and playing hopscotch? As a young girl, me and my cousins ran around the yard playing “chase”. I can still remember the fresh smell of honeysuckers that traveled in the wind.

I remember one day while we were playing, Mama was sitting on the porch with my aunt. She hollered out, “Ya’ll come on inside, it SMELLS like rain.” I looked up at the sky, but I didn’t see any clouds or signs of rain. I got mad because I thought Mama was just being mean. As I watched my cousins run home, I turned around to step on the porch, and guess what??? Rain started pouring down from the sky WHILE the sun was still out! When I got in the house, I asked Mama how she knew that it was going to rain. Her response was “I could smell rain and I felt a shift in the atmosphere.”

There is a shift taking place in the atmosphere of the White House. I know it appear that things are getting worser, but don’t make the mistake by putting your focus on the negative stuff. I believe that the Lord God is shifting and shaking up some things. He’s working on the minds and hearts of those who see people’s color rather than seeing their hearts.

Sometimes, when it appears that God is taking a long time to intervene on behalf of His people, it doesn’t mean that He’s not working behind the scenes. Yesterday, I was moved by the recognition presented by President Biden regarding Emmett Till. Some folks may say it’s way too late. But God’s timing is nothing like our timing. Let’s continue to keep the Till family and all others in the White House lifted in prayer.
