I was blessed by a conversation with Layah today. She will soon turn 9 years old. I showed her a picture of Vice-President Kamala Harris. I told her to never forget her name or

her face because she was making history. Not only was Kamala the first black woman VP, but she was going to be the first woman to be president. Layah said, " Maybe one day I can become president too!" My response was, "Exactly!"

As parents, we need to engage in conversations with our children about current events. This will allow them to develop their own perspective about the things they hear and see on TV. If God blessed you with the ability to have children, you have been given the responsibility to raise a nation. The question is what type of nation are you raising! Do you talk negative about people who don't look like you in front of your child? Do they see you help others who are less fortunate than you? Are you making sure they know their history? Do they have a diverse group of friends in their circle? How do they treat their friends?

Perhaps you don't have any children that came from your womb. That doesn't make you any less of a woman! And ANYBODY who says anything different, is speaking a lie straight from the devil's mouth! As a matter of fact, you have the awesome opportunity to invest in the lives of other children. You are very instrumental in raising a nation.

So, Woman of God, everytime you look at the children in your environment, instead of seeing them as children, change your perspective and start seeing them as "a nation." Then...be intentional about engaging in conversations and LISTEN to them. Let them know you are interested in what they want to say.

Your level of engagement with them just might be the catalyst for changing our future generation of nations!

For His glory...
