In 1 Kings 6:38, King Solomon finally completed building the Temple of God. God promised that His presence would dwell in the temple as long as Solomon remained obedient to His commands. That meant that the indwelling of God's Spirit would take residence in the temple that Solomon built.....WOW! Yall..that's amazing.

God gave Solomon a divine blueprint for His temple (1 Kings 6). As tedious as the plan sounded, as costly as it must have been to obtain the materials...Solomon still remained obedient to God's divine blueprint. Solomon didn't use any substitute material. But Solomon used pure gold, gopher wood and beautiful expensive stones.

And something else...Solomon didn't use cheap labor to build God's Temple. But Solomon chose specific folks who had God-given skills to do what was needed to complete God's Temple. In 1 Corinthians 6:19-18 Paul told the believers, "Do you not know that your body is the temple of God. You are not of your own because you were bought with a price." Question: If you are the temple of God, are you building up your temple using God's Divine Blue Print (the Word of God)? Are you allowing cheap substitute stuff to infest God's Temple?

If God took time to indwell in your temple, why in the world would you want to desecrate HIS temple with stuff that will hinder your relationship with Him?

Hmmm.

For His glory....
