Be encouraged. You are Valuable.

I want to encourage someone today who feels like they have no value, and no one cares about you. Perhaps you are feeling this way because of what you have done in your past, or maybe someone has done something to you. Many times, the world views us as insignificant because of our skin color, hair texture, body mass, and simply just the way we talk. Sometimes our very own family makes us feel insignificant. And then when we look in the mirror, we begin to label the person in the mirror as insignificant.

My sister….You ARE VALUABLE in the eyes of God! All of us have made mistakes and we are still making them. But we can’t let our past mistakes determine our future. Get your bible and read Joshua Chapter 2 through 6. God used a woman by the name of Rahab. She was a Harlot (Prostitute) by profession. God used Rahab at a specific time for a specific purpose. She protected God’s men and saved her entire family from destruction. Her loyalty to serve and protect God’s spies transpired into her deliverance from destruction. She trusted in what she heard about God even when she didn’t know God. Is there someone in your circle who encourage you to trust God? Does their life exemplify the character of a woman of faith and courage in the Lord?

Your value is not based on your past, or what others think about you. But your value is determined by what Jesus Christ did for you on the cross. Read John 3:16. Stop allowing folks to put labels on you. Put your faith in the Person (Jesus Christ) who gave His life for you. Here’s something else….it’s not too late to place your trust in Him. Why? Because YOU are VALUABLE in God’s eyes. Now…. get up, clean your face, and let’s move forward!
